Ms. Nancy Jo Goettl
Nancy Jo Goettl grew up in Mankato, MN. Ms. Goettl currently directs the 5th & 6th grade mixed choirs, junior high women's choirs, and the 8th & 9th grade select women's ensemble Nova Voce in the Dassel-Cokato school district. She also directs the Contemporary Worship Choir at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cokato.
During her high school music programs, Ms. Goettl decided to pursue a career in music education. Ms. Goettl attended the College of Saint Benedict (St. Joseph, Minnesota), where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Music Education and Vocal Performance. Ms. Goettl holds a K-12 vocal teaching license from the state of Minnesota.
Ms. Goettl has been employed as an accompanist and choreographer.
Mrs. Shelby Lofgren
Shelby Lofgren is a vocalist, pianist, and experienced teacher residing in Hutchinson, Minnesota. Mrs. Lofgren currently directs the high school mixed and junior high men's choirs in the Dassel-Cokato school district and operates a private in-home music studio, providing voice and piano lessons to students of all ages and abilities.
Mrs. Lofgren attained her Bachelor of Music (B.M.) degree in music education from Simpson College (Indianola, Iowa), where she specialized in voice and piano. She received her Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree from Indian Hills Community College (Ottumwa, Iowa). In addition to holding K-12 vocal and instrumental teaching licenses in the states of Iowa and Minnesota, Mrs. Lofgren is a certified adjudicator for the Iowa High School Music Association and received the Golden Apple teaching award in 2016. Mrs. Lofgren is currently working on obtaining her Master of Music (M.M.) from the University of Florida.
Mrs. Lofgren has taught in the public school setting at both the elementary and secondary levels and has been employed as a vocalist, solo and collaborative pianist, choral director, honor choir director, choreographer, musical director, music adjudicator, and private music instructor.
